ACEL Inc. affiliate company of E&M is founded as a group enterprise.

The Japanese word-processor, JWORD, is announced, setting a precedent for the diffusion of PC software.

1983

UNIX-based CAD system is developed, the first Japanese nationally-produced UNIX/AP.

1984

Integrated software package, Spreadsheet/graph'JCALC', diagram'JDRAW', and image'JIMAGE', is announced.

1985

A new concept product of proprietary Multi-windows is developed.

1986

A newspaper reporter's word-processor project through major electronics company starts.

1987

The Japanese language idea processor, "HIPER X" (accredited by the Information-Technology Promotion Agency, Japan), is completed, and begins sales.
"CD-WORD8", an advanced multimedia, multi-language word-processor on CD-ROM is developed.

1988

"Newspaper Editing System" project starts. This is an excellent downsizing application model on UNIX/EWS platform, and making the best use of diagram image processing technology and Japanese language processing technology.
A form creation system for laser printers is co-developed with a large electronics manufacturer.

1989

Architectural CAD system for designing detached house and ISDN-related communication system are developed.
Phoenix Systems Laboratory Inc, a new development center situated in Miyazaki, is founded.

1990

Takes on LSI design technology field (hardware design technology).
Development of PDL capable products for small laser printers starts.

1991

CAD system for housing company is delivered, beginning operation throughout Japan.
Development of various applications on Windows environment starts.

1992

Package customizing business begins.
"Proofreading Support System" project starts.

1993

An image search tool for electronic filing systems project starts.
"Total Management System for office building" project starts.

1994

Architectural CAD system for designing detached house project starts. Customer is major housing company. E&M supplies this CAD system to two customers.

1995

Clinical examinations system project starts.
"Newspaper Article Distribution System" on Windows is developed.
EC (Electronic Commerce) terminal development support service begins.
CAD drawing input service for detached house begins.
Future Network Management System (NMS) for Power Company project starts. Objective of this project is downsizing from system on mainframe to system on UNIX/EWS. This downsizing project is leaded by major electric company.

1996

A new expansion to the Tokyo headquarters building.
"Newspaper Composition System" (for leading newspaper company) begins operation.
"Hospital Test System" project starts.
EC related system development begins.

1997

"EC Product Contents Builder", recognised by the Information-Technology Promotion Agency, Japan (IPA).
Printer development services with large electronics companies expands further.
Begins development of "development support software" for controlling APEX switching equipment.
The Fukuoka branch is opened as a service and business site in the western Japan region centered on Kyushu.

1998

"EDI System for Multi industry Firms" is adopted by the Japan Information Processing Development Corporation (JIPDEC) as a supplementary budget project.

1999

"Utility Payment Agent System" project starts.
A new company building "EMG Miyazaki Techno Hills" is completed, at the same time opening the Miyazaki branch office to promoting network service business.
The Osaka branch is opened as a service and business facility focusing the Kansai region centered on Osaka.

2000

Begins WEB based construction material supply service by joint enterprise with large electronics manufacturer and large diversified chemicals manufacturer.

2001

Entry into IMT2000 project (3rd generation mobile technology).
Participates in developing the system with a large telecommunications company as a joint enterprise.

2002

"Electronic Carte System (for clinic)" is completed, initiates development of "Carte System" for middle size hospitals.
Join to project developing television station terrestrial digitalization system.

2003

"Layout API for large newspaper companies" is developed.
"All Bank System" project starts.
"Contents Download Site" development project starts.

2004

A field proof experiment of "Living monitor service", a monitor service for elderly people who live alone starts.
"Management system for a nation-wide retail chain store" project starts.

The User Contact Center of the Medical information system is established in Miyazaki.
Electronic map development system project starts.

Jordan regional office is opened.
